Which Toyota Has the Best Resale Value

Toyota RAV4 High Resale Value

The used car market saw a record high in 2022, but since then, things have slowed down a little. The supply-demand was partly due to a global shortage of the semiconductor, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Things are still not great for those purchasing from the new car market, and as living costs continue to rise, as salaries become lower, many find themselves moving to the used car market to purchase their next vehicle.

Toyota was named the best overall brand for a strong resale value recently with many of the models outperforming the market value of similar brands by significant margins. So if you are looking to sell your Toyota, or buy a second-hand one, look no further.

Highlander

The 2023 Toyota Highlander didn’t become a bestseller by constantly reinventing itself. It’s a familiar vehicle on the market, but anyone who’s previously driven a Toyota SUV should feel instantly at home in it. There are a few new tech touches including a 360-degree camera and a refreshed user interface for touchscreen control.

RAV4 Prime

Toyota’s hybrid version of the RAV4 doesn’t quite retain its value as the petrol counterpart, but it’s still one of the best in class. Its driving dynamics are average for its size, but for standard A-to-B driving, the RAV4 Prime does exactly what it says on the tank.

GR Supra

Toyota’s prime model sports car holds its value well. It’s estimated to keep 63.5% of value over a five-year period. The GR’s appeal is a result of a clever mix of performance and versatility. Fun on the track and comfortable on the road, but be sure to check for any replacement parts required on a used sports vehicle.

RAV4

The combustion engine RAVA has a significant resale value of 65% of the original price. Some estimate that it is the world’s bestselling car with over 1,000,000 units running of the assembly line last year alone. Standard tech, and a spacious cabin seem to be its most attractive attributes. The RAV4 is a good choice for a solid vehicle with a good resale value.

Corolla

The least expensive in Toyota’s current lineup is the Corolla sedan. This affordability means any buyer on a tighter budget, with reliability and value in mind doesn’t look much further than the Toyota Corolla. In Asia the Corolla is a popular choice for taxi drivers proving that it performs well in short-distance heavy traffic and on longer trips.

4Runner

The 2023 Toyota 4Runner might not be the newest vehicle in its class, nor the best to drive on the road. It is a robust vehicle that can be upgraded to perform as a heavy-duty offroad vehicle and for long-distance camping and adventure holidays in Australia. However, its status as a trail-ready off-roader vehicle has kept it popular long after many of its rivals have been upgraded.
